Jean Blyth and Ken Woosnan, with a stunning Lhasa - seems as if this is a combination we've grown used to over the years, doesn't it? A new member of the "group", Saxonsprings Tradition has been catching "Aye"s around the show rings, culminating in a superb win by taking the Pedigree Chum finals at the Champion Stakes on Saturday, January 30, 1998! Tradition already has a Best In Show under his belt, and all this at just a year of age.

Tradition reminded me of Intrepid as a youngster ... this was certainly a team to watch. It was a thrill to see them in the rings - I'm so glad Jean got to see them.

Memories ...

The picture above was taken at the beginning of Trad's career in the show ring. Trad went on to even greater wins, culminating in the Top Dog of the Year, All-breeds in England for 1999 - a fitting way to end the previous Millennium!
Our dear friend Jean succumbed to cancer in December of 1999, but knowing her beloved Trad had taken top honors thanks to Ken.
Many tributes have been published about Jean, lauding her keen sense of judgment with her dogs, her perseverance in the face of adversity, and her determination to succeed. I knew her as a friend who always supported the Orlane principles and loved her Lhasas mightily - Jean was outspoken and many disliked this, but I always knew I heard the truth from her.
It's always hard to lose a friend under any circumstances, but we were such kindred spirits - I miss her still, and probably always will. Godspeed, Dear Friend - Danny and Hank are glad you're with them!
